Miley Cyrus' VF Pics Defended by Fellow Celebs, Father to Be Blamed

Following her embarrassing photographs in June 2008 issue of Vanity Fair, Miley Cyrus got support from Heidi Montag and Jamie Lee Curtis. Heidi and friends revealed that Miley didn't do bad things. Instead of being embarrassed, she looked pretty in the pictures. "I think she's a young girl in Hollywood, and she's just having fun. (She)'s exploring herself," Heidi told Extra. Spencer Pratt also commented on this, "I didn't think it was that bad. Supposedly, she's wearing a top underneath. It's artistic." More of defense for Miley as Lauren Conrad said, "I found it a bit silly. I thought she looked beautiful in the pictures. I didn't find it that inappropriate. It's a lot of pressure on her since she is a role model, but I think she's doing a good job."

Also embarrassed by her own topless picture earlier this year, actress Jamie Lee Curtis expressed her sympathy to the "Hannah Montana" actress, insisted that she should have more protection. "I too was a little embarrassed by my recent topless 'scandal' and the subsequent parodies. But I am an adult. I protected myself during the shoot and I can take the heat. I only wish that her guardians had protected her," she told People. Moreover she added, "She is a young girl. She shouldn't have to deal with any of this. I know the integrity of Ms. Leibovitz and the magazine and I know there were people present at the shoot that should have been looking out to make sure that this didn't happen."

On the other hand, Miley's father Billy Ray Cyrus is believed to have groomed her as a sex symbol by putting her into such situation which finally embarrassed her. The claim comes from Fox anchor, Bill O'Reilly, who blamed Billy for helping her making a bad decision. He said, "They go into Vanity Fair, which is not her audience at all. He puts her into a situation where she becomes, at 15, a sex symbol." He then added, "Middle America, they don't like this. Miley is a nice girl." Claimed Miley has made "a bad decision", Bill also advised, "She should do Oprah and say, 'We made a mistake, here's why and it won't happen again'".
