Dita Von Teese didn't take a long time to get her troubled half performance fee. Reportedly, the artist has been paid up by Erotica Limited just one day after she filed the lawsuit. Finally, she reportedly got her full payment on March 14, 2008.
Previously, Dita has filed lawsuit against the adult-oriented trade show to Los Angeles Superior Court on March 13, 2008. She sued the British company for failing to pay her performance fees for two shows in London. In fact, the 35-year-old merely received the first of two $25,000 installments after the contract was signed.
In the lawsuit, the actress claimed that the bosses of the company owed her money for two performance at the Erotica trade show in November 2007. The ex-wife of Marilyn Manson alleged the company has promised to pay her $50,000 to perform two shows. However, the company paid her only $25,000 or half of the salary promised.
According to the lawsuit, Dita's name and image were used by Erotica Limited to promote its 2008 event. The burlesque star claimed that the company has made use her picture on the show's pamphlet and other printed publications. She assumed that they used her name without asking permission.
