For awhile, the reports about Jamie Lynn Spears were not heard, except her pregnancy's report. Recently, occuring reports on the teen star emerged as rumors stating that she was engaged to her unborn baby's father Casey Aldridge were being blown up by the media. The rumors rose after Britney Spears's sister got a new jewelery which was alleged as an engagement ring from her fiance.

The 16-year-old singer, as reported by People, has shown off the ring to friends and family in Louisiana and Mississippi. A close to the family told People, "She's got an engagement ring. She's been showing it off, talking about it." However, Spears' representative didn't give any comment about the rumors.

The "Zoey 101" star and her 18-year-old fiance are waiting for the birth of their baby this summer. They were also reportedly set to get married after Spears' pregnancy was announced. However, there's no official confirmation about the wedding date for the couple.

Previously, the problems about her unborn baby's father appeared because she was below the age of consent for the State of California. Her longtime boyfriend might be charged with statuary rape for impregnating her. Reportedly, if her boyfriend is 18, he won't be charged, but if he is 19, he will be charged with a felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile with the maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment. Fortunately, The Department of Motor Vehicles of Mississippi confirmed that he was born on April 29, 1989, means that he is 18 years old.
