Former child star blooming to a young man, Daniel Radcliffe, 18, has shown some attitude to mark his transition to manhood. The "Harry Potter" star has turned to a smoking train and has even been warned by friends and co-stars to quit his habit that involves 20 of the cancer sticks a day or else he will get a serious health problem.
Radcliffe has been dubbed "Harry Puffer" because he allegedly likes to light up on the set of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" every time the director says "cut!". A source revealed, "Daniel has recently been smoking up to 20 cigarettes a day. Every time they call 'Cut', he lights up. It's disgusting. Friends and co-stars including Rupert Grint have been warning him about the dangers of smoking. But he doesn't take any notice."
Earlier last week, Radcliffe was spotted puffing a cigarette when he was required to perform a tricky stunt and his double was not there. The source said that he was nervous and once he lit up the cigar, "he was sparking up constantly."
Friends particularly fear for the changing image of the actor who debuted his big screen debut at the age of twelve. He has always been known for his clean-cut image and this smoking habit could possibly ruin it. "He's been having late nights out with stars like Kevin Spacey and Stephen Fry and seems to have picked up bad habits from the luvvie set," the source added.
