Burlesque star Dita Von Teese has demanded her fee as a performer at Erotica Limited trade show last year. The former wife of Marilyn Manson filed a lawsuit against the company over the unpaid salary that is worth a staggering $25,000.
Von Teese appeared on their two shows in London based on agreement that she would be paid $50,000. However, the dancer whose real name is Heather Sweet, claimed that she was paid only half of it and therefore is suing for the remaining fee.
A breach of contract lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday, March 14. The court document, which can be read stated that Von Teese made a huge hit when she first performed for the company in 2006 and was consequently asked to perform again in November the next year. She agreed on two times daily performance on the account that she will be paid $50,000, which was twice the previous salary.
Erotica Limited also made use of her picture on the show's pamphlet as well as several ads in radio and other printed publications. According to the suit, Erotica Limited vanished and cut off all the contact with her camp before completing the money matter. Furthermore, Von Teese claimed that while the problem with her was not yet settled, her 2007 performances had been used to promote this year's event.
