The Grammy-nominated rapper The Game will spend time behind bars following his felony accounts in February 2007. According to reports, the 28-year-old gangsta rapper had been sentenced to 60 days in jail on Monday (11.02.08) and was ordered to surrender to authorities before March 3.
After the rapper whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor entered his no contest plead, the Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Fred Wapner immediately ruled out the sentence and ordered Game to do 150 hours of community service as well as spend three years on formal probation. Still, the judge still gave him credit for the two days he had spent sentenced Taylor to 60 days in jail, giving him credit for two days he has already served.
Actually, the hitmaker of "The Documentary" was charged with three felony accounts for possessing a firearm in a school zone, making criminal threats and exposing a firearm in the presence of a peace officer. But, the district attorney's office revealed that as the part of his plea agreement, the latter two counts has been dismissed. If the rapper is convicted for all three counts, he could face more than five years in state prison.
The charges was put upon Game following an incident during a basketball game at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex in South Los Angeles on February 24, 2007. Allegedly, at the time, he was involved in a heated argument with a player from the opposing team. Prosecutors claimed that after he punched the opposing player, he then pulled a gun from his Escalade and threatened to shoot the man.
