R'n'B Superstar R. Kelly Said to Date 'Idol' Alum Trenyce

Finding new love in his life, R&B superstar R. Kelly reportedly is getting romantically involved with Trenyce, an "American Idol" finalist for the show's second season.

Reports said that the two have been undergoing a secret long-distance relationship since April last year after they met through a mutual friend. Both are said to often jet across the States to spend time together.

"He was drawn to her immediately," a source told Star magazine of Kelly. "He loves it when someone is both talented and beautiful and Trenyce is definitely that."

Kelly, 40, is currently busy promoting his new LP "Double Up" while awaiting his next trial on May 14, 2008 over the case of having sex with a minor. As for 27-year-old Trenyce, full name Lashundra Trenyce Cobbins, she is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and finished at the fifth place during the second "Idol" competition, which Ruben Studdard finally won.
