Barely landing her feet in Auckland, New Zealand, Bjork has already shown her hostility toward the local paparazzi.
The Icelandic singer was reported to attack a photographer from New Zealand Herald shorty after her arrival at the city's international airport on Sunday, January 13, 2008.
The abused man, named Glenn Jeffrey, told news agency New Zealand Press Association that he had his shirt thorn in half by the "Army of Me" hit-maker after he photographed her at the airport.
Jeffrey was initially asked by a man accompanying Bjork not to take photos, but proceeded doing it anyway.
"I took a couple of pictures... and as I turned and walked away she came up behind me, grabbed the back of my black skivvy and tore it," he recalled. "As she did this she fell over, she fell to the ground. At no stage did I touch her or speak with her."
Bjork, according to Jeffrey, said nothing during the attack while her companion was heard saying to her "B, don't do this, B don't do this." The alleged assault, in the meantime, has been reported by Jeffrey to Auckland police and staff from the airport are currently examining video footage of the incident.
Bjork comes to Auckland to perform at the Big Day Out concert this Friday, January 18, 2008 taking place at Mt. Mart Stadium. The songstress previously was caught to attack a reporter in 1996 after arriving at Bangkok Airport.
