Carrying a concealed weapon to airport, Yung Joc was arrested. According to reports, the Grammy nominated artist was caught bringing a fully loaded handgun in his carry-on bag at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport on Sunday (23.12.07).
About the arrest, the police spokesman, Lt. Thomas Stacho, said that the rapper, whose real name is Jasiel Robinson, was arrested at about 6:20 A.M. under firearms charges and probably Air Piracy Act charges. Prior to the finding of the firearm in his bag, Joc was attempting to go through a standard security checkpoint to board a Delta Air Lines flight. Further, Stancho said that the 24-year-old rapper claimed he didn't know the gun was in his bag when being questioned about the gun.
Concerning the news, Stanley Jackson Jr., Joc's attorney stated, "Yung Joc maintains his innocence. He would appreciate privacy as he addresses these allegations." Meanwhile, the singer that is featured in Danity Kane's 'Show Stopper' and best known for hit single 'It's Goin' Down' was released on 50,000 dollar bond on Monday (24.12.07) and is scheduled to appear in Cleveland Municipal Court on Wednesday (26.12.07).
